Do you get new equipment when going from free trial to annual plan?

I just started my WHOOP free trial and I’m thinking about switching to the annual plan. I had a quick question about how the hardware works in this situation.

If I upgrade from the free trial to the annual membership, do I get any new equipment (like a new band, battery pack, etc.), or does my current trial device just continue as my main WHOOP without anything additional being sent?

I’ve seen some mixed answers online, so I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through this transition. Did you receive any new hardware when you converted your free trial, or was it just a change in membership status on the same device? If you don’t get any new hardware when you switch to the annual membership, is it possible to cancel the free trial and place an order for the new subscription (with the new hardware) without losing your old data?

Hello! If you upgrade from the free trial to an annual membership, you’ll continue using the same device and accessories you received during your trial. No additional hardware is automatically sent with the upgrade, it’s simply a transition in your membership.

That said, your device is covered under WHOOP’s lifetime warranty for any functional issues (outside of loss or theft), so you’re fully supported as you continue using it.
