Difficulty pairing my Whoop mind to my new phone

I switched to an upgraded version of the Apple iPhone, and I am unable to pair my whoop 5.0 monitor. It is only showing a solid green light and not the blinking blue light to indicate pairing. Also, when I go to the Bluetooth section of my phone, it shows my whoop monitor as connected, but the i icon is not there to allow me to disconnect. Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks.

Hey @baqir,

Try these steps. They usually do the trick:

  1. Force close the WHOOP app on your iPhone.

  2. Head to your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, and remove (or “Forget”) any WHOOP devices listed.

  3. Fully power off your phone (not just a restart), wait about 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

  4. Make sure your WHOOP 5.0 is charged.

  5. Take the WHOOP off your wrist and wait for the green lights to turn off.

  6. Hold the WHOOP by its sides and tap the top of the sensor firmly and quickly until you see a blue light flash on the side — that means it’s in pairing mode.

  7. Open the WHOOP app and go to:
Device Settings > Advanced > Pair a Device

  8. Then select your WHOOP sensor from the list to pair.If the green light stays on (and won’t shut off so you can pair), or the blue light doesn’t appear when you tap, it might be a charging or sensor issue.

Hey there - this has been a really annoying issue for me, as I’ve switched phones 2 times in the past 7 days (long story).

But the issue is consistent - UNPAIRING with the “new” phone especially when it’s an iPhone back up. So WHOOP shows up in Bluetooth. However, it does not have an “i” icon to unpair. I’ve tried restarting the phone…and ultimately I believe I had to delete the Whoop App for it to remove itself, BEFORE I can start syncing again.

It’s just a bit annoying but I just thought I’d write that out as something to do. And then you have to take off the whoop but also hold it via the sensors, and just keep tapping it until it’s blue (even after it showed green initially). It’s frustrating.
