Device Automatically detecting Yoga everyday!?

For some odd reason my Whoop device is automatically detecting “Yoga” Activity at around 12 strain every single day, even though I might not do that activity or anything similar.!? Thanks, please help.

Hey @SteveGrant,

Thanks for sharing those details! WHOOP automatically detects activities based on your heart rate, movement patterns, and strain levels. Sometimes, if your device detects sustained elevated heart rate or movement similar to yoga—even if you’re not doing that activity—it may auto-log it as “Yoga.”

  1. Check Device Fit: Make sure your WHOOP is worn snugly and positioned one finger-width above your wrist bone for stable contact. If you’re doing high-movement activities, consider trying a bicep band for improved accuracy.
  2. Review Heart Rate Data: Check your maximum heart rate settings in the WHOOP app, as inaccurate max HR can impact strain and activity detection.
  3. Monitor and Allow Recalibration: WHOOP recalibrates over time. If you’ve recently changed devices or settings, allow a few weeks for baselines to adjust and filter out inconsistencies.
  4. Edit or Delete Incorrect Activities: You can manually edit or delete incorrectly detected activities in the WHOOP app.
