Hello,
I feel quite frustrated that Whoop’s cycle predictions are still very basic. The app claims to consider temperature and other metrics, but from my perspective it mostly relies on average cycle length. This makes the predictions unreliable, especially in irregular months (like now, due to stress and vacation). Even when I entered my assumed ovulation date, the forecast for my period did not update.
When Whoop 5 was announced with “valuable insights” for women’s cycles, I expected more. For example:
- More accurate predictions that react to irregular cycles, perimenopause, based on changes in the measured data
- At least the option to use manual ovulation input to improve forecasts.
- Access to skin temperature graphs or raw data, which might provide clues for cycle tracking.
- Smarter AI on cycle information
Sorry for the frustration, but my expectations for Whoop were much higher – especially since I hoped it would replace manual basal temperature tracking and extra apps. I truly hope future updates will make it more useful for women.
