Hi! I’m on a free trial and want to purchase Peak membership. It seems from replies on the forum that if I continue to a paid sub from the trial, I won’t receive the wireless battery pack / band that is normally included in the cost of Peak. Given this, it seems to make sense that I should order Peak separately and cancel the trial once it arrives.
My question is: will I lose the data I’ve already accumulated in the app?

If you cancel the trial and return the device, you’ll lose access to the data collected during the trial since both the membership and device access end.
If you’d like to keep your trial data, the best option is to let the trial roll into a paid Peak membership. That way, your past data stays in the app and new data continues to be collected.
If you cancel first and then start a new Peak membership later, you won’t be able to keep your trial data unless the device and membership remain active without interruption.
Thank you, that’s really clear. I do want continue with Whoop but it’s frustrating and unintuitive to have no option but to pay full price for Peak whilst losing £88 of the normal value. That’s not really a free trial. It seems like this information should be on the website as well.
I’m in the same position, doesn’t seem fair that if you have a trial first you miss out on the extras.
It’s definitely disappointing, bordering on slightly sketchy IMO. All the marketing says Peak includes the extras, so it’s completely reasonable to expect that you’ll get the extras when you buy Peak (fwiw that’s also what the Whoop AI thinks when you ask it.) The only justification is that losing the extras is the cost of the free trial but then “free” isn’t very accurate there either.
Like I say, really enjoying the product (and definitely extending my membership) but this is the kind of thing that makes Whoop seem like a company there’ll eventually be a 6 part Netflix drama about.
@liv0 could you please clarify following rules “Yes! There are two ways to switch to the newest hardware from a Free Trial on a 5.0 device:
Before your trial ends, you can purchase a One, Peak, or Life annual membership, all through the WHOOP App.
Alternatively, after your trial ends, you’ll automatically continue with an annual membership. You can upgrade to WHOOP MG by paying a one-time upgrade fee or by extending your membership.“
Can I purchase PEAK while trial is still running and receive full package with Wi-Fi charger keeping trial data the same time and afterwards return trial back?
