Hello!
The battery for Whoop does not charge itself and does not charge the device, the LEDs are not lit. I connected it to my PC, installed Whoop baterry pack updater - the charge percentage does not show, Error - Could not get fw version! I tried to update the software - Error - failed to disable nfc and could not enter bootloader.
What to do?
Hey @Danya8
Let’s try a few things to get it back on track:
- Use the right cable and charger. Make sure you’re using the WHOOP-certified USB-C cable and a solid power source. Try swapping the USB adapter or outlet if you can.
- Clean the port. Sometimes dust or debris in the USB-C port can mess with the connection. Give it a quick check and clean if needed.
- Try a reset with your computer. Plug the battery pack into your computer, close and reopen the Battery Pack Updater software, then unplug and replug the battery. See if the update works after that.
- Double-tap to check for life. While it’s plugged in, give the top of the battery pack a double-tap. If it’s working, the LEDs should flash to show charge status.
- Let it sit and charge. Leave it plugged in for 5–10 minutes and watch for the LEDs to light up.
If there’s still no sign of life (no lights, no firmware update), it might be a hardware issue. If that’s the case, reach out to support@whoop.com. They’ll help sort it out.
Hi i had this issue and i did exactly like you, i even plugged it for hours, didnt work. Then randomly after 1 day i plugged the battery and it chraged normally like nothing happened and aince then no issues.
I have visited several websites about my problem. all the tips were only about Android phones, but I saw an interesting thought about overheating. I tried putting the battery in the fridge for 10 minutes. after that, it started showing signs of life and I was able to charge it
