Biceps band option for Strength Trainer

I’m wondering why, for the Strength Trainer, I can only choose between my left and right wrist. Why isn’t there an option to select wearing the WHOOP on the biceps? As far as I know, heart rate measurements are more accurate when wearing it on the biceps.

When Strength Trainer was built the algorithms were only optimized for the wrist location. The way measurement works with the hardware, moving to the bicep or other Whoop body locations requires in depth validation of algorithm adjustments to make sure it is accurate enough for release. It is something that is on our list of features to tackle as we continue to work on strength trainer.

You are correct about HR! For certain high motion activities the bicep can be a more accurate signal. Unfortunately the way Strength Trainer vs. HR are measures are very different and the same benefit does not apply.

I wonder if this is the problem with yesterday’s strength training where I used my bicep band. 40 minutes with pretty intense training. I tracked all reps and weights, stop and finish for each exercise, from the app.

However I got 5.4 in strain which is very low. I feel it should be more about 10.

So, should we then use bicep or wrist band when using strength trainer? I have been using bicep band due to accuracy.

I basically had the same length and intensity workout today where I had Whoop on my wrist. I got 11 in strain vs 5.4 when I had it on my biceps. Using strength trainer program.
