Babywearing Metrics Terrible

My cousin is now scoring 20.5 every day now that he has a baby. Any strain he puts ‘baby wearing’ and he gets 20 + strain. He doesn’t break a sweat, put on shoes, nor does he leave the baby room. I guess baby wearing is harder on the cardio vascular system than running a marathon… or else the integrity of the whoop strain metrics are just wrong. Super bummed.

I assume it’s because during the postpartum period a woman’s energy needs nearly double, since biologically we’re meant to breastfeed, which requires more energy. On top of that, caring for a baby all day on its own creates a higher stress response.
