I’ve had my whoop since March, and it was working fine until about 2-3 weeks ago. At first the app would crash when I started an activity, and when I reopened it it wouldn’t show the live heart rate or strain levels. It would still log the activity and save the data afterwards. In trying to fix it, I restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared the app cache, and force stopped it. Now it crashes anytime I even open the app, making the app and device unusable. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with the latest software updates. What options do I have to try to fix it?
Hey @rroenitz,
Thanks for sharing those details! Since your WHOOP app crashes immediately on your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, here are some steps to try that often resolve app crashes:
-
Restart your phone fully to refresh system memory.
-
Check for any WHOOP app updates in the Google Play Store and install if available.
-
Force close the WHOOP app (swipe it away from recent apps) and reopen it.
-
Clear the WHOOP app cache: Go to Settings > Apps > WHOOP > Storage & Cache > Clear Cache.
-
Ensure your phone has at least 1GB of free storage space.
-
Confirm Bluetooth is ON and Airplane Mode is OFF.
-
Disable battery optimization for WHOOP: Settings > Apps > WHOOP > Battery > Disable optimization or set to “Don’t optimize.”
-
Reinstall the WHOOP app after uninstalling it, then restart your phone again.
If you have already done these or the app still crashes on launch, please reach out to support@whoop.com.
