Alarm without internet connection

Hi.

Is there a workaround to turn off the alarm on the whoop when you’re without an internet connection?
And perhaps stretching it now. Wouldn’t it be amazing to change the exact alarm time without an internet connection as well?

Hi @Judokus86, thanks for the note. Currently, an internet connection is required to set the alarm. Sleep planner does not work if there is no service or internet connection. I appreciate the feedback, and I’ve passed on this request to the PM leading the charge on this front. Thank you! Have a great rest of your day.

I get that the planner doesn’t work.

But simply the option to switching it off if you don’t have a connection shouldn’t be to hard to code.

Same for an exact time alarm.

Would LOVE this functionality. I was so upset with my whoop one time I had no internet connection that I couldn’t change the alarm time I almost threw it in the bin.

@Judokus86 Ah HAH! Good point. So your point is: If you dont have a connection… shut it off. Seems like a fair and reasonable ask. Let me connect with the PM on this initiative. For visibility: PMs always have a list of features they are looking to get into production… and they typically have to focus on the greatest impact to the greatest # of members. Obviously AI may be able to help with this (by programming/coding more for us in live time), but I wanted to just give you some visibility into the process. Thank you for writing in. All of this feedback gets logged and put to queues for PMs and their teams to digest. Ty!

I would suggest the alarm feature is decoupled from needing internet at all. Not just shutting it off if there’s no internet.

Imagine a scenario where you need to have an alarm set, there is wifi, and you go to sleep. During the night something happens and the internet goes down. Seems bonkers that the alarm would shut off.

There’s really no need for the alarm to require internet at all. It’s a communication between your phone and the whoop via Bluetooth.
