Advanced Labs Uploading Test Results

Regarding: WHOOP Advanced Labs: Lab results meet daily coaching

  • Already have test results? Upload them to the WHOOP app at no additional cost as part of your membership. You’ll get added context from WHOOP Coach including personalized guidance that connects your results to your daily recovery, strain, and sleep data.

Can anyone help me figure out how/where to do this “upload”? In app? Website?

Hey @dhiranaka,

Currently, the WHOOP app does not have a direct feature for members to upload their lab results. However, WHOOP Advanced Labs is an upcoming service that will allow members to combine clinical lab testing with their WHOOP data, including the ability to upload historic bloodwork results for analysis and coaching. This feature will be accessible through the Health tab in the app once launched.

If you are participating in Digital WHOOP Labs studies, you can view and join available studies in the app by going to More > Account & Settings > Digital WHOOP Labs.

If you have lab results related to WHOOP Advanced Labs, keep an eye on the Health tab in the app for when this feature becomes available.

when will there be access? they promised in September, but there is nothing

I just got access to the Whoop Labs. It says that I can upload a file, PDF I believe, but I’m wondering if there is a template for this or what the format of the data in the file needs to be.

If you have advanced labs on your health tab it’ll have a button you can upload and send pdfs or screen shots. I sent screen shots of my labs, it’ll ask you name of test, the date of time of test, upload them and then it’ll ask you to verify the it’ll analyze and let you know when it’s ready. It’s currently slowing rolling out as not to overwhelm the service. It’ll go based on tiers. First life membership then peak and lastly One members. You can skip the line if you know someone who purchased an advance labs membership that send you a referral link.

Thanks for explaining the button location. I just uploaded a test and got confirmation of the values within 10 minutes.

I also did my first lab test today at Quest. They could not find my lab order because Whoop (or SteadyMD) spelled my last name wrong, even though it is correct in my account! It looks like manual typing because they hit the “B” key instead of an “N”. The various codes and IDs were of no use, and I’m sure it was not laziness on the part of the technician, because she was very helpful. Eventually I left and while walking away discovered the lab order in the app. I was able to go back in and they let me complete the test without a new appointment.

Bottom line: check your lab order for stupid typos before going in, and be ready to email them the PDF if they don’t have the order.

Sdstrader:

I chose print in my medical system’s app and saved as PDF. That was accepted and parsed accurately. The page is clear to read, but I doubt that it is standard. You are probably okay with anything reasonable, but note that the results won’t be processed completely until you confirm the values in the app.

it would be great to have a suggested template from whoop to import lab results, as if importing only the regular lab design it does not work properly
