12 month upcycling gift

Hi, I have recently renewed my whoop and bought a 12 month upcycling gift for a friend. I haven’t received any code for the 13 month upcycling gift? What do I do?

Hey @declancass,

To activate a gifted 12-month upcycling membership, the recipient just needs to:

  • Download the WHOOP app on their phone
  • Create a new WHOOP account
  • Pair the gifted WHOOP 4.0 with the app

From there, the membership kicks in automatically depending on what the gifter chose:

  • If it was prepaid, the 12-month membership starts right away once the device is paired.
  • If it was a free trial, the giftee gets 2 months to try it out before deciding whether to continue with a paid membership.

So if the gifter went with the prepaid route, the full year begins as soon as the giftee sets up the device and account.
