WHOOP Update: Blood Pressure Insights

Latest update - clicking on the BPI gives you this now.

Any update from Whoop?

It is working for me with, I just took the latest Apple app update and as far as I know I have the latest firmware not that it should affect the app. Reboot app or reboot phone?

Everything is updated and rebooted, still no luck. I thought it might be tied to the FDA letter.

I also get page not found if I want to check the blood pressure.

Any chance you downgraded from Life to Peak?

Same issue here. Things keep breaking in the WHOOP app recently. This is just crazy…

I also get ”Page not found” and I’m still Life member.

FYI - the app was just updated to 15.12.1 which fixes the issue with BPI.

It does but the HR graph when turning the device to the side is still broken. Whoever checks these updates before being released needs to be fired.

BP insights fixed but none of the other things I have reported along with Flip Phone to see all day HR, as you say. Roll outs are so poor. Don’t know what bugs they fixed and they certainly bring in more issues. I would say right now Apple Health integration is not working at all when it comes to writing Sleep and Journal pulling data.

Nice clarification on the fixes :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Same here, no page error

Anyone who is medically advised to track their BP will be using a cuff. The app allows manual input of these readings but this is a pain. I use an Omron cuff which syncs its data to their app and allows the data to be exported.

I appreciate that Omron is a competitor (and probably views you as one), but surely you can come up with a way to sync the readings to the Whoop App. It would be acceptable if I could download the Omron readings once a month and upload them to Whoop.

This would not only be useful to users but would also give you a tonne more data (I’m already in the labs group for BP, but this only gives you a once a month reading).

I do not understand your disagreement with the FDA. I would be hard pressed to categorize BP as a “wellness feature”. When you visit a doctor or if you are admitted as an inpatient, your BP is taken and monitored regularly as part of your care.

Also, I participated in the Digital Labs BP study. After the fact, there was no communication with participants to understand pro’s and con’s. I personally found the Whoop BP feature to be problematic. I took manual readings every Monday and noticed throughout the labs that the Whoop estimate kept increasing every week then went back down when I entered the manual readings. Then again, since the Whoop does not have an inflation bladder, it can’t directly measure BP so there must be some algorithm used to provide an estimate. Obviously that algorithm needs work. I personally do not trust this feature and we are probably better off without it. Especially if it gives inaccurate readings which could result in emotional stress for the user. If you have medical issues which require the monitoring of BP then getting a device which accurately measures BP is key. Given the cost of the Whoop, a dedicated BP cuff is more than reasonably priced.
