Whoop MG HR stuck in calibrating

Thank you! I can confirm that the issue is not longer present. Amazing support!

I just tried the fix and whilst it does work initially, once you go to the Health tab that is now stuck. Go back to home screen and back to health tab and that is now working but Health Monitor is stuck. Then going backwards and forwards I find some time locks & others not. I have not manged to get all to work at the same time unless I have a very constant HR

Not sure this fix has worked or not but regardless it’s not an ideal solution. I will monitor for a few hours

Thanks for testing this out Alan! We do have a separate fix rolling out for the Live HR getting stuck as you travel between the various screens in the app. I’ll go ahead and enable that for you as well.

I will see it in the Apple App Store?

No App store update necessary. These fixes should be enabled for you after about 10 minutes, but if you want to accelerate that you can close and reopen the app again.

Initial thoughts, it seems OK now after closing and reopening the app. Thank you.

Can you please enable this to me also?

Sure! I’ve rolled out the fixes to both you and @brady_athletic. Close the app then reopen it and those should be loaded for you.

@ncipollo it is working on the health page but if you click on health monitor it is still stuck. Not a big deal, just letting you know.

Ah - I think I see the issue! Sorry about that - if you close and reopen the app you should have all the latest fixes now. Let me know if you are still having issues after that!

Thanks a lot! For me the issue is gone. Both pages i.e. Health and Heart Monitor are showing live HR data. Is it the same for you @AlanGooner & @brady_athletic?
As I said previously my girlfriend is also having this issue how can she get this update?

It appears to be working although occasionally I do feel like one of the screens is locked. But quickly going to the main page and back seems to address. I’d say it’s perhaps not 100% fixed but probably close enough.

@ncipollo Is the ECG/EKG HR more accurate than the wrist sensor. My HR this morning is low, good nights sleep etc around 52 according the health tab but doing an ECG/EKG I get low heart rate measurement and it shows me around 48. Should they be this much different?

PS My Garmin watch also registered low HR on the ECG/EKG test but is also shows me under 50 on the watch face, so HR & ECG/EKG are around the same on Garmin. The good news is I now trust Whoop ECG/EKG as much as Garmin. Both seem accurate.

Hey @buzmay - we will be rolling these fixes out to everyone over the course of the next week.

Hey @AlanGooner - The manner in which we measure HR during ECG vs standard wrist sensor operation is different, so it does make sense that you are seeing different values there. It’s also worth noting while you are taking your ECG you are typically sitting still for 30s in a fairly idle position so that could also contribute to some of the difference.

Back on the topic of the HR freezing, if you are able to figure out a sequence of events which lead to it getting stuck either calibrating or not updating please let me know. The team and I would be interested to know if there are more bugs there we need to squash .

I believe it happens with this sequence.

  1. Open health tab. HR changes.
  2. Minimize the app whilst on health tab.
  3. Wait some time, not total sure of the length of time but a fair bit.
  4. Bring the app to the forefront and it is stuck or at least has stuck for me.

Thank you! Will it come through an app update?

Thanks Alan - looking at this with the team. We believe we see the root cause here and will be rolling out a separate set of fixes to address. Thank you very much for the sequence!
