Whoop Coach lagging

I’ve noticed a significant lag recently in Whoop Coach when the AI is generating a response. I’ve tried restarting my device and reinstalling the app.

Hey @DarkKnight89 , thanks for letting me know! I appreciate you taking the time to reinstall and reboot before writing in. If WHOOP Coach is lagging when generating responses, it might be due to app connectivity or device caching rather than your data itself.

Let’s try a few quick steps to improve performance before we go the Support route:

  1. Make sure your WHOOP app is up to date in the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Close and reopen the app, then swipe down on the main screen to manually sync your data.

  3. If you’re on Android, go to Settings > Apps > WHOOP > Storage > Clear Cache.

  4. Check that your phone’s operating system (iOS or Android) is running the latest version.

  5. Try using WHOOP Coach on both Wi-Fi and cellular data to see if one performs better.

After completing these steps, could you see if WHOOP Coach speed improves?
If it still feels slow, we can contact our Support Team with your device model, OS version, and approximately how long it takes to load replies. They’ll be able to take a closer look and determine if its a bug or not, too.

Thanks for the response. I have a iPhone but I tried all the prescribed suggestions over the last few weeks. The lag happens when prompting Whoop Coach from the (W) icon at the bottom right of the app. The lag is significantly slow and makes the Whoop app unusable until the Coach finishes the response.

I don’t experience this lag when using Whoop Coach from the “Your day in review”

Transparently, I have not experienced this one before (nor have I seen someone else with this happen!), so I think best course of action for us here will be to work with our Membership Services team. They have access to view if any similar bug reports have been submitted and, if so, likely provide any targeted steps or updates.
