I have a support ticket open, but they just keep telling me to try incognito, another PC, browser, clear cache. doesn’t matter. 3 PCs, 5 browsers, incognito or private. ALL HAVE THE SAME BEHAVIOR.
if anyone out there has a windows PC and can try to login to the whoop member site at https://app.whoop.com/membership/ . I need to “Add payment Method” , but the box that opens will not accept any keyboard entry so I cannot type a CC number in the box. Other links on the page don’t seem to do very much either. Try “Extend your membership” just blinks a W.
I appreciate anyone who can help with a quick sanity check if the site works. You don’t need to add a card, just type a bogus number- I think a 4147 18 should highlight as a Visa. my experience, you won’t even enter the first 4. The “Cancel” button works
bumping my question. could anyone give it a try. just need to log in at that site, then click the add a payment method. type a few numbers in the box. the issue I am having is it doesn’t accept any keystrokes. then click cancel and reply. Support says it is working fine, but they have not provided a screen shot of digits. I am dubious. what company requires a CC for subscription renewal when there are 12 months on the current new subscription? just send some warning emails on month 10 and cut me off if I don’t renew.
another bump, please try the link and let me know if you can use a browser (not the installed whoops app) and enter any digits (NOT ASKING FOR YOUR CC) in the box for credit card number. I have no idea why this company requires a CC for a brand new purchase that comes with 12 month subscription. perhaps they don’t think I will like it and renew? I already know that I don’t think much of their website. And support has failed to convince me that it is working. almost a month and they wont activate my subscription because I cannot add a payment method because their website does not work? i already paid them in my cart to purchase the device and 12 months. why can’t I register and use it? What kind of company is Whoopsie?
THANK YOU! wonder if it is my ISP!
3 computers, 6 browsers, private / incognito. all same behavior.
maybe it is my account. I will try back with support
You’re welcome. If you think it could be your ISP, it might be worth trying from a mobile device when not connected to your WiFi? Or connecting your PC to a mobile hotspot?
SOLUTION: apparently, you MUST use the mobile app to create an account, including adding a payment method. The web (browser) based app can modify an account by adding an additional/alternate payment method, but not an initial. That’s just how it works. I generated a one-use virtual card number from my Visa and used it in the mobile app and everything went smoothly.
