Raw Metrics Mode

Whoop needs to provide a “Raw Metrics Mode” only where the user can opt out of the proprietary algorithms and only use the raw hard metrics presented in Health Monitor. The fact is, WHOOP does not allow for fully customizable Heart Rate Zones. Every serious athlete knows their heart rate zones are unique to their physiology and will have them measured in some fashion to establish them. If the Zones are off, any advice thereafter is suspect. The same holds true for sleep, as the only true measure is brain waves, not a proprietary function that approximates it based on other markers. WHOOP does a good job detecting when you go to sleep and wake up, but differentiating sleep stages without measuring brain waves is hit-or-miss. Again, any downstream measure that incorporates this is suspect. While WHOOP does a good job of presenting raw metrics, if your physiology doesn’t fit the WHOOP model, any advice based on its algorithms can be wildly inaccurate.
