Just track volume?

It seems the current purpose of strength trainer is to log the volume one has lifted over a set period of time, as opposed to tracking various lifts. Is it possible to start the strength trainer "timer’ and use a different app to track my lifts? My regular lifting app (FITBOD) gives me the total volume lifted after a workout. I would then just need to enter that one number as opposed to entering tens of lifts. Seems like that would b an easier way to input the load if that is all WHOOP is looking for at this point.
