Is auto activity detection no longer a thing?

I always manually start an activity for intentional workouts (runs, workouts, etc.). But with my Whoop 4.0, it would frequently log activities automatically for things like golfing, playing tennis, long walks, etc.

Since upgrading to 5.0, that hasn’t happened once. Has that feature been removed, and if so why? I liked it a lot.

Still does for me. Maybe your hr is to low for it to detect it as an activity? Otherwise I’d contact Whoop support through support@whoop.com and have them take a look!

I have noticed similar. Didnt pick up a workput on a stepper which it normally would. But then it ramdomly picked up walking when i didnt actually walk much.

I’ve noticed this too. I did weight training today for 30 minutes, followed by a walk/jog for 15 minutes. It recorded the whole session as a walk. I had to manually split the session into the correct categories.

Same here. On the first day my WHOOP actually auto-detected a walk with my dog, but since then it hasn’t auto-detected a single workout or walk. Everything has to be logged manually.

This was honestly one of the main features I wanted it for, so it’s pretty disappointing.

I’ve already contacted support and I’m waiting to see what they say.

I actually switched from a Samsung Galaxy Watch because I didn’t want to wear a watch anymore, but that thing detected activities way more reliably. I definitely miss that now.
