I want to start by saying: I genuinely love WHOOP.
The hardware, the data insights, the training guidance, and the way WHOOP helps people understand their bodies are amazing. I believe WHOOP is one of the best health and performance platforms available today.
But there is one thing that I think WHOOP is seriously underestimating: Chinese language support.
For many Chinese users, the biggest barrier is not the price, the hardware, or the technology. It is the language experience.
WHOOP contains a huge amount of valuable information:
-
Recovery insights
-
Sleep coaching
-
Training recommendations
-
Health explanations
-
Stress monitoring
These are exactly the things that make WHOOP different from other wearables. But without a Chinese interface, millions of potential users cannot fully understand or enjoy the product.
What surprises me is that in 2026, with AI tools becoming so powerful, localization is no longer a huge technical challenge.
Using modern AI coding and translation tools (for example, AI-assisted software workflows), translating an app interface, reviewing terminology, and creating a first Chinese version can be much faster and easier than before.
The Chinese fitness and health market is enormous. There are millions of athletes, gym users, runners, cyclists, and health-conscious people who are looking for professional data-driven tools.
I even started manually translating some WHOOP screens myself because I believe the product deserves to reach more people.
My question for the WHOOP team is:
Is Chinese localization on your roadmap?
And if not yet, what are the biggest challenges preventing WHOOP from supporting Chinese users?
I believe many Chinese users would love WHOOP if they could experience the full value of the product in their own language.
Thank you for building such an incredible platform. I hope WHOOP can become a truly global product, not only in technology, but also in accessibility.
