I am reaching out regarding my membership and cancellation issue.
I signed up for WHOOP thinking it was a standard monthly subscription. I did not see a clear disclosure that I was entering into a 12-month binding commitment. When I attempted to cancel through the app, it showed a €300 fee for the remaining months, which I did not expect at all.
I have not actively used the device or the service, and I am trying to end the membership early because it does not fit my needs. I was very surprised to see that cancellation would charge me for future months I will not use.
As an EU customer, subscription terms involving long-term commitments and early termination fees must be clearly and prominently disclosed under EU consumer protection rules. I genuinely believed I was subscribing on a monthly basis without a fixed contract term.
I would like to request assistance in cancelling the membership without being charged the full remaining annual commitment. I am happy to pay for the time already covered, but I believe it is not fair or compliant to charge me for future months I will not be using.
Please let me know how we can resolve this.
