GPS import for activities

This has been discussed in the forum for a few different topics but I’d like to make this a seperate topic because it deserves more attention.

Whoop is using GPS to calculate VO2max. You have to use your phone for this as the device does not have GPS because GPS drains battery super quickly. But you know what also drains super quickly? My phones battery when I use GPS.

What I’m suggesting is an option to attach a gpx file to an activity (maybe through the web app?, I don’t care).

Or better still, link Whoop to Garmin/strava/Wahoo/Mapmyride/run etc and pull the data directly

Thought about adding this but first off that’s a lot of integrations and secondly I don’t know what the apple health integration can transfer. I just know for health connect on android it still isn’t possible.

Whoop is reading lots of Apple health but there is no capability to get .gpx

Personally creating an upload or integration would be much the same process I would think

I’d guess there’d be a few more variables at play. Is this general topic of gpx from external sources in the plans @Durkin ?

@Fotocraphy @AlanGooner This is exactly why we created this Community forum. This is SMART THINKING. I’m sending this to our Product team. This seems like a nice in-between play that can get you the solution you want. Stay tuned. Give me a few on this one b/c I think this will involve some internal convos that may take time. Thanks for posting this. - Durk.
