I’d like to share some feedback regarding offline functionality.
I was on a cruise from July 26 to August 2, and I chose not to purchase internet access while at sea. During the entire trip, I continued training every day and my WHOOP continued collecting data, but I was unable to see any of my metrics because the app essentially requires an internet connection to display the information.
This was quite frustrating, especially because one of the main reasons I use WHOOP is to monitor my recovery, strain, sleep, and performance wherever I am.
I believe WHOOP should offer a robust offline mode, allowing users to access their recently collected data and key metrics without an internet connection, and then automatically sync everything once connectivity is restored.
A wearable designed for continuous health and performance tracking should not become essentially “blind” just because the user is temporarily offline.
I really value WHOOP and its technology, which is why I think this is an important area for improvement.
