I wanted to see if there was ever a world where, when you double-tap the Whoop device (similar to how you check battery life or stop a vibration alarm), the current local time would illuminate on the device.
Not like a traditional smartwatch or Fitbit with a full display, but something much more minimal. In my mind, it would simply show the time through the knit band using technology built into the Whoop itself. Could there be a way for the device to illuminate through the band and display the current time when activated?
One thing I’ve always felt is that it’s difficult to wear both a watch and a Whoop comfortably. A feature like this could be a unique upgrade that keeps the distraction-free nature of Whoop while adding a simple, practical function. The only thing it would display is the time.
I find myself constantly checking my phone just to see what time it is, and it would be great to be able to glance at my wrist instead without needing to carry or pull out my phone.
