Feature Request: “Plan Activity for Today” (History-Based)
Problem:
If I want to commit to doing a familiar activity later today (e.g., evening stretching), I have to manually create a new activity. Daily Outlook tiles are helpful, but they don’t always surface my specific repeated sessions. I’d like a fast way to turn my usual activities into “planned” tiles for today.
Proposed Solution:
Add a “Plan Activity for Today” option to the + menu on the Home / My Day view.
Behavior:
-
Tap + → Plan Activity for Today.
-
WHOOP shows a list of suggested activities based on my history, for example:
- “Same as yesterday evening”
- “Typical [weekday] session”
- “Most common strength session”
- “Evening stretching routine / Recovery stretching”
-
When I tap one:
- WHOOP uses the latest duration of that activity from my history.
- No time selection is required (it’s simply a “do this today” commitment).
-
This creates a planned tile in My Day (like a Daily Outlook tile) that I can:
- Tap to Start when I begin, or
- Mark as skipped if I don’t complete it.
Data sources for suggestions:
-
Activities I’ve done multiple times in the last 4–8 weeks
-
Activities I often do on this day of the week
-
Recently committed activities from Daily Outlook
Why this is easier to implement:
-
Reuses existing activity types and durations — just pulls the most recent duration from history.
-
No need to build a time‑of‑day scheduler; it’s simply a “commit to this activity today” flag.
-
Leverages the same UI pattern as existing Daily Outlook “Commit” tiles.
Why it helps members:
-
Reduces friction for repeating common workouts and recovery habits (e.g., nightly stretching, regular walks).
-
Makes it easy to translate intentions into visible commitments on My Day, improving follow‑through.
-
Uses WHOOP’s data to make daily planning feel personal and efficient.
