Feature Request: Audio or Haptic Guidance for Breathing Exercises
During WHOOP breathing exercises, there is currently no way to follow the breathing rhythm without looking at the phone screen.
I would like to be able to start a breathing exercise, put the phone away, close my eyes, and simply follow an audio or haptic metronome.
For example:
-
vibration or sound for inhale;
-
vibration or sound for exhale;
-
optional vibration pattern for breath holds;
-
configurable breathing ratio (e.g. 4 seconds inhale / 6 seconds exhale);
-
the phone screen should not be required once the exercise has started.
The ideal experience would be similar to a meditation timer or metronome: start the exercise → put the phone away → close your eyes → follow the rhythm.
This would make WHOOP’s breathing exercises much more practical for meditation, relaxation and parasympathetic breathing, because looking at a screen during a breathing practice is distracting and defeats part of the purpose.
Ideally, users should be able to choose:
Sound / WHOOP vibration / both / silent, with customizable breathing intervals.
