I have had Whoop MG since May 9th and apart from a few hiccups ECG has worked flawlessly. Today at least 20 attempts with the message something went wrong. I finally got a reading by un-clipping the band and putting fingers on the actual Whoop pins. Tried again with the band and it’s not working at all. Very strange and sort of suggests a band issue.

Something interesting I have noticed and maybe explains some issues others have been having. Today again I noticed I could not get a successful ECG reading. I normally take a reading first thing in the morning without issue but the last two days I took a reading an hour after exercise and after taking a shower whilst wearing the whoop it fails. My thought is, if the band is wet it disturbs the electrical current. Waited a few hours for it to dry and I now get a good reading. So maybe wet or sweaty band affects the readings.

Just a thought

Hi mine is not working or even taking the test. I have tried everything whoop says and what people have said in this forum and nothing works

Mine hasn’t worked from day 1 either.

Why have Whoop continued to sell this product when it’s clear it’s not working for the majority of people.

Just got mine. Not even doing a countdown. I bought this version specifically for the heart and blood pressure data. When is this “bug” getting fixed? It’s August…

This is not working for me too. I just got this for this feature. Sounds like we need to contact the bbb and file complaints that we have all been sold a faulty device that does not function as advertised. We are all paying a lot of money for a feature we can’t even use. Would love to hear back from someone in the company on how they are going to make this right. If not then I guess bbb is our only recourse.

also joining this thread to say I got my new MG today, have tried ECG 10+ times on different wrists, tighter etc and none has worked. The lines on the screen as the recording is happening look reasonable to me - this is very disappointing

I have to wash the device everytime I take my ecg reading.

I just got my Whoop and tried several times also for the EKG but although it completes the 30 seconds reading several times, it does always fail. Please advise when this is fixed.

Same here. I’ve been trying since I received it last week, and it’s only added stress. I regret upgrading, I was fine with the previous membership.

Has this resolved yet @popedriver? I am getting the same despite paying a fortune for my WHOOP and emailing them. It seems to me like there is a problem and no one is interested in resolving it but prefer to resort to calling it user error?

My ECG worked last night (first time) but today it won’t work. It takes a reading, then says ‘couldn’t load status try again.’ Help please - thank you

It happens 99% of the time with me (= it does not work). I cleaned the sensor, tried both wrists, distinct distances from the wrist bone, etc. It always fails. At the same time, if I take the ECG using Garmin and Apple Watch, It reads normally.

Same here guys, this ECG and blood pressure feature is a joke, I should have go for Peak membership and save some money.

Does anybody received any help from Whoop or is there any “real” solution? Please advice if there is any. They should give us our money back.

Is there a solution for the ECG not working? I have never been able to get a reading! Very frustrating.

Thanks for posting this ! So far it’s the only way I can get mine to work.

Hi,

I bought a new one with ECG (feb2026) and they still didn’t fix the bug since June 25.

Mine doesn’t seem to work. Takes the 30 sec reading and then ‘couldn’t load status’. I’ve tried everything to make it work.

Very frustrating as I bought this Whoop especially for this ECG feature..

I got a new Whoop MG delivered today. And the ECG feature doesn’t seem to capture the result. The ECG starts, completes the calibration, does the count down from 30 seconds to 0, and says complete. On the next screen app asks for any symptoms, on which I click “Skip”, then I’m presented with the error: “COULDN’T LOAD STATUS; Please try again later“. And the “Retry” button does nothing when pressed. Please advise.
