# Custom journal: stop with ai slop, give us buttons

The custom journal behavior forces us to use ai to create a new entry type and the process is painful. I know exactly what I want my entries to be, so typing would be easy.

The AI systematically misses the mark: wrong phrasing, wrong sub metrics tracked, really hard to go back on a specific version of the copy. I end typing what I want more times than if there were a text box and buttons.

Please just give us buttons, stop forcing everything through AI. I know it sounds cool, but we don’t want it
