I just got a WHOOP 5.0 today, and it just paired once and then stopped working. It disappeared, and neither the app nor the Bluetooth recognizes the strap.
I’ve tried all the previous posts “solutions” and the troubleshooting you have, but nothing works.
Blue light appears, but the strap is not being detected
I reinstalled the app again, and nothing
I restarted the phone, and nothing
Charger is green, I’ve tried using the charger pack, and nothing
Battery charge indicator is green, but it’s not pairing
It is a brand new device, how is it even possible? I just took it out of the box, and it stopped working. How can I get support for this? I sent a ticket, and I just got an AI response.
Thanks for sharing all the steps you’ve tried so far and sorry for the frustration. Since your WHOOP 5.0 shows a blue light but is not detected by the app or Bluetooth, here are some key points to double-check:
Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled and the WHOOP app has permission to access them.
Forget any previously paired WHOOP devices in your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
Fully power off your phone (not just restart), wait 10 seconds, then power it back on.
Put your WHOOP into pairing mode by removing it from your wrist, waiting for the green lights to turn off, then tapping the top of the sensor firmly and continuously with two fingers until only blue lights flash.
Open the WHOOP app, go to Device Settings > Advanced > Pair a Device, and select your WHOOP sensor ID from the list (found on the side of the device under the clasp).
Accept any Bluetooth pairing requests that appear.
If your WHOOP is still not pairing, this is likely a hardware issue and a member of our Membership Services team is best equipped to help you. You can reach them by emailing support@whoop.com.
