Be aware: Unexpected increase in WHOOP return fee after trial extension

I want to share my experience so others can be aware. I’ve been using WHOOP for about 41 days and decided not to continue for now. When I signed up for the 30-day free trial, I was not clearly informed about any return shipping fee. Later, I noticed a fee of around CA$8.99, which itself was already a surprise.

After receiving a 15-day trial extension, the return shipping fee increased to CA$37.99. This change was never clearly communicated and feels like a significant and unexpected jump.

I reached out to support explaining this, but their response was that return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and that the fee reflects carrier rates which can vary over time. They also mentioned they are unable to waive or adjust the cost.

While I understand policies exist, my concern is more about transparency—this was not clearly communicated upfront or during the extension. If I had known, I would have made my decision within the original trial period.

Has anyone else faced this? Were you able to get the fee waived?
